Inspired by the famous Dutch artist Piet Mondriaan, we designed and carried out the styling of the presentation hall, including the main stage design, for ISTH’s international pharmacy congress. MCI Amsterdam was responsible for the total production of the ISTH Congress, which was held in July 2013 in the RAI Amsterdam for over 3,000 professionals in the industry.

For international tea and coffee company, Douwe Egberts, we conceived, designed and styled a series of events for 150 top international managers to support D.E.’s transformation in company culture. In cooperation with MCI Amsterdam, the program incorporated four events at four different locations spread over three days. Key elements of the design were high levels of interactivity and inspiration in the presentation area, where we used a catwalk design to engage the audience, and an authentic coffee house atmosphere in the lounge. We integrated the corporate identity throughout the events, including the launch of three new products.

For the Fund Awards, we created a chic, elegant, gala awards show set in an industrial environment-the Westergas Fabriek, a former gasworks. This perfect combination of ‘chic’ and ‘industrial’ design provided a refreshing and unique atmosphere for the guests. We worked together with ConspiracySinc who handled all communication with the client, while we took care of the production, the design, and all that was necessary to make this a unique experience.

During the Dutch GT4 Championship, HTC Mobile hosted a VIP event at the racetrack in Zandvoort. To house the HTC Live Experience, we constructed a fully-equipped, panoramic glass tent for 1500 guests above the pit-stop street. The event was hosted by Willie Wartaal, and performances included De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig and DJ Shermanology. MEA Group commissioned us to work on the event design, styling and production.

“Pure Desire” by Acer and Packard Bell. Acer and Packard Bell launched their newest products in three simultaneous events in Beijing, New York and Amsterdam. The Amsterdam event was held in the Passenger Terminal and was produced by us and Syndiqe. We transformed three levels of the venue into a display area, presentation and cocktail lounge for over 300 journalists from the EMEA region.

“Winter Tour” by Phone House The Phone House promoted their latest range of phones with a European press tour.
Sculptivate commissioned us to produce the Dutch event that was held in the Westergasfabriek. We managed all aspects of the production from location to catering. 80 Press Agents attended the event.

For the launch of the Samsung Wave smartphone, we designed and produced an “Apps Street” with different stages for guests to explore and experience the apps. The Amsterdam Convention Factory was the location for this event, and over 2000 guests were able to enjoy this unique concept. Brand New Life commissioned us to create this event experience.

For these two fashion brands, we created a huge fashion show to present their new swimwear and lingerie collections. The event took place in an air hangar where we created a bar-restaurant and the fashion show. Two sailing boats were integrated into the main stage design of the 35-meter catwalk. 1500 buyers and fashion journalists attended this event, one of our many successful events for these brands.

HTC LIVE!
For HTC’s new product line, MEA group hired us to create and produce the launch event for 700 retail staff and press members. The clean design of the event fitted the HTC brand. The venue was divided into two sections by a big central bar: a main stage for the product presentation and a demonstration booth area. Above the main bar, information about the phones and their features was projected onto huge screens. The night was hosted by TV celebrities Gigi and Valerio and included performances by DJs Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano

We designed and produced an exclusive event for a prestigious yacht manufacturer attended by 350 guests. We took an ordinary marina promenade and redesigned it into a luxurious, decadent, Cote d’Azur setting.

To support the launch of Vodafone 360, we transformed the Amsterdam Passenger Terminal into a state-of-the-art nightclub for 2500 guests. DNA events asked us to design three levels of the venue. We used a sensational combination of laser, lighting and video technology to reflect the Vodafone 360 brand.

Volkswagen wanted an idea with impact to launch its new collection. The concept we created was a return to Volkswagen’s roots. We organised the event at Volkswagen’s abandoned garage which we turned into a spectacular high-end location. 450 buyers attended the event. It was a unique happening due to the connection Volkswagen had with the location, which in turn generated much media attention.

During the Picnic Festival 2011, for the creative industry, we collaborated on an exclusive dinner for 120 international guests at the MTV studios. The theme of the festival was ‘Connecting Citizens’. This was reflected throughout the design and styling of the studio, which was transformed into a city skyline setting. DNA events hired us for our expertise in developing and implementing concept and design.

Cartier Store Opening in Amsterdam. For the opening of a new Cartier store in Amsterdam, we were hired by Usual Suspects to manage part of the production and to lead the design of the various happenings on the day. The event began with the opening of the store and continued with a cocktail party located in a former bank. We also arranged the entertainment programme for the VIP guests, which numbered more than 400, with Candy Dulfer on saxophone and Jazzy D on the piano.

For the Lotto 50 years anniversary we designed and styled the World Forum location. We restyled the location for the yearly Sport Gala that took place in the evening. Commissioned by Dechesne & Boertje, who was responsible for the total production, we made it an unforgettable experience for the 1500 guests.

We worked on the design and styling for this annual event. The theme of this year’s Fonds Event was Connectivity, which was reflected throughout the design commisioned by Conspiracy Concepts and Fonds nieuws, who were responsible for the total concept and production. Media Plaza provided the perfect location for this mutual funds event.

To launch the new brand identity for The Famous Grouse, we produced and designed an international event for the key brand managers in June 2013 in the Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam. The London-based PR agency, Talk PR, asked us to transform several chambers into a presentation hall, showroom and cocktail area using the new design principles of naturalness, playfulness and a modern take on traditional icons.

Volvo ‘”E-series”. We were commissioned by Super Push to concept and design a three-day event for Volvo, who wanted to present a series of new products to 1500 customers in a unique and entertaining way. We used the latest visual techniques, including 26 projectors that displayed one huge video presentation on all four walls. The guests were surrounded by a full-on visual and sensual experience.

Our studio moved a while ago now to the Schinkel industrial area, and we decided that it was time to connect all the creative agencies to have a meet & greet on a Friday afternoon. Together with our studio partners—Conspiracy Concepts, Edge Amsterdam and Sinc Media—we took the event outdoors for the first Schinkel Free State street party. 250 guests attended this happening.
